Rob's Story
As usual, I'm late the party. I've known about Classmates for a few years but never really looked around so, here I am.
As for what I've been doing since I graduated, I left Grandview the day after I graduated and headed to Texas to work the oil fields and refineries. Eventually, I found my way to a company installing underwater pipelines in the far east. I've spent time in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, and visited Hong Kong and Japan.
I made my way back to Texas where I bounced around working in the trades, carpenter, electrician, plumber, et al, as well as stints as an actor, stage manager, set designer/builder. Continuing through Texas I found my wife in East Texas and settled into working a...Expand for more
s a motorcycle mechanic in Central Texas.
When it came time to start a family we moved to Belton (the economy was SO MUCH better in Missouri) where we lived for several years as I returned to school and earned my degree as Rockhurst University and began work in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
With my wife in tow, we have traveled most of the lower 48, Canada, and France.
Finally, we retired two years ago and moved to Michigan to be closer to her family.
