Robert's Story
Life
Hey everyone. For those of you wondering what happened to me after HS, here's the condensed version... About a year after I graduated from SEHS I enrolled in MCC where I got my A.A. in Criminal Justice. While I was there I began to lose weight... a lot of it and later joined the Navy a few months after grad (see photo). So far I've been to Illinois, South Carolina, New York, Virginia, and now I live in California. While I was living in Virginia I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. I caught it extremely early and I've completed treatment but there was a bit of a scare but at no time was my life in any real danger (guys, check yourselves!!). I still have to get CT scans a few times a year but for the most part I'm good to go.

Military
My "illustrious" naval career started in Great Lakes, IL where for about 2 months I endured blisters, cold weather, and Recruit Division Commanders (CMC Forrester, CTM1 Counts, AME1 Winn for those of you who're interested) until graduation. From there it was off to Goose Creek, SC where I had a 4-year nuclear engineering degree crammed into my skull in a 6 month period and was given a choice to stay there or go to Saratoga Springs, NY to complete the training. I chose Saratoga Springs because I wanted to travel and who wants to live in a place called "Goose Creek" anyway? I've since graduated from training and was, for a short time, stationed in Norfolk, VA attached to the USS Charlotte until a cancer diagnosis took me off the submarine. I've completed treatment and I'm in remission right now and I'm living in San Diego.
