Robert L's Story
Life
Following graduation from OSU in 1969 I began graduate studies at the U of Iowa. I taught at the U of Florida before becoming Executive Director of the International Communiation association which I retired from in 2004. While with ICA I taught for five years at the U of Texas School of Journalism. Much of my job at ICA including traveling to set up academic conferences. I visited five continents in that pursuit logging thousands of miles and hundreds of hours in airplanes. Assistant Development Director and Volunteer coordinator in the Austin Metropolitan Area Command where I continue to serve. My son, Brian, his wife Pam, and two grandkids, Kaitlyn and Garrett live in Portland, Texas where I visit as possible. I play as much golf and tennis as I can. My interest in photography is still high and I've shifted to digital. Although I've missed a few, I continue to return to Wilburton each Easter Weekend that I can for the festivities at Wilburton High School. It is a treat for me to seel how each of the graduates who return has matured and hear their stories. See you there soon.
