Robert L.'s Story
Life
After graduation, I attended Ohio University. I then lived in California for two years. The escalation of the Vietnam War, caused me to enlist in the U. S. Army, rather than being drafted. I graduated from Officer Candidate School in January of 1968 and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant. In 1969, I was promoted to 1st Lieutenant and honorably discharged in 1970. I joined the Cincinnati Fire Division in 1973 and served for 10 years on Engine Company 23 in Walnut Hills. In 1990 I was promoted to the rank of Fire Lieutenant. 84, I had become interested in computers. I founded my own computer business on my off-days from the Cincinnati Fire Division. I have continued in the computer business since my retirement. I have a Son and a Grandson in Las Vegas and a Daughter and 3 Granchildren in California. My wife, Cathy, and I were married in 1994. We built a new home in Sharonville in 1995. Cathy teaches school in the Lakota School System. Now that I am retired, I play golf on Tuesdays and Thursdays and ride motorcycles on Wednesdays and weekends. In January, 2007 I was appointed to the Sharonville City Council.
