Life I graduated BHS in 1976 and went on to Texas Tech with Mark Hunter, Mark Morris, Jay Puckett, and Darte Hensley. We all lived in the same dorm, on the same floor, and within a few doors of each other. That first year was a hoot. I lived in the dorm for the first 2 years, but moved off campus my third. As time went own, we all kind of drifted apart except for Morris and I. We still keep in close touch and suppose will always be best of lifetime friends. Although sporadically, I have also stayed in touch with Denny Sexton over the years. She too is one of those lifetime friends. I graduated Tech in 1981 as a Petroleum Engineer, got married that same year, and went to work for Mobil in Midland Texas. We were transferred around Texas several times over the next 8 years, had 3 children (Katie, Beth, and David), and ended up in Houston. She decided that she would rather live with her mother in Lubbock and so in 1989 as they say, that was that. Over the years, we have become friends again and keep in touch, celebrate some holidays together, etc. All three of our children are now grown now and out on their own. My son David moved in with me in Houston for a couple of years whilst he went to school. He has since graduated and moved back to Dallas. It was great to have him around and it gave us a chance to reconnect. My oldest is an RN in the Navy stationed a Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland. Se is expecting in December 2007, so I guess I have to get used to being a Grandpa. I left Mobil in 1990, went to work for several independent oil companies over the next 6 years before ending up in Venezuela working for Schlumberger.
