Robert M.'s Story
Life
In the last 50 years I have been out in the world seeking fame, fortune, purpose & enlightenment and will continue to do so as long as I possibly can.
After high school graduation I joined the Marine Corps, serving in such places as San Diego and Oceanside, Calif., Jacksonville, Fla., Memphis, Tenn., El Toro, Calif., Atsugi, Japan and Ping Tung, Taiwan.
After my military commitment was complete (about 4 years), I began attending classes at Harris Teachers College, transferred to the U. of Mo. at Rolla and later to the U. of Mo. at Columbia. I then worked at Monsanto in St. Louis/St. Peters and at McGaw Laboratories in Glendale, Calif., before returning to graduate with a BSBA from the U. of Mo. at St. Louis.

e, I transferred into heavy construction, remaining there for over 30 years, until my retirement in 2003. During this time I divorced, remarried and presently have a 20 year old daughter in college and a 18 year old son in high school. My wife is a school teacher, was born in Korea , coming to the U.S. at age 14 with her family.
Engineering/construction firms I have worked for include C.F. Braun, Fluor, Ultrasystems, Holmes & Narver, Brown & Root and Parsons. Most of my assignments have been in Calif. although I have worked in Alaska (Pipeline), Oklahoma (McAlister  Ammonia Plant), Ohio (Mt. Vernon - Pump Station Rebuild), South Africa (Coal Gasification & Liquefaction) and Indiana (Chemical Neutralization).
My hobbies include travel, reading, sports, camping (mountain/desert/beach), gardening and trying to train my pets. (2-Australian Cattle Dogs & 1-Amazon Parrot)
