Robert's Story
Life
Since 1976 I've been in Colorado most of the time, except between 1991-1999 when I "did" 6 years in Atlanta and 2 years in Tampa. I have been with Delta Air Lines for 13 years now, before that 14 years with Albertsons. I love my job, and actually enjoy going to work! Airplanes have always fascinated me, I just wish I had my 14 years with Joe's at this career, then maybe I wouldn't still be working nights!
I have two great boys, Jason is 20 and Christopher is 13. I've been divorced for 7 years, my older son lives with me, and my younger son...Expand for more
is with us 3-4 days of the week. We've traveled quite a bit, they have their sports, and basically we have a good family life.
College
Aero Tech was tough, at least doing well there while working full time and having a family made it tough. But it was all worth it.
Workplace
I have been working Line Maintenance for Delta Air Lines Denver, Salt Lake City, and now Phoenix since 2000, before that Base Maintenance in Tampa, and Base Maintenance and Overhaul in Atlanta. I really enjoy my career, to bad everyone seems to hate the airlines, I love my job!
