Robert/Mike's Story
Life,
Just finished my aviation career flying the C-130's. 32 Years on status and logged over 13,500 hours as Loadmaster. 7 trips to the desert and every adventure our military has been involved in, global,since March 1972. Been every where, seen everything, done everything and got tons of "tee" shirts. Just recently re-married to my soul mate, but it took 30 years, a war and a tour in the desert to find her. Ginger is a flight nurse and we hooked up in Uzbekistan on one of my many forays to the desert supporting the GWOT while she was supporting and caring for our wounded warriors. d in November and live peacefully in Taylorsville, NC. I was appointed the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 145th Airlift Wing here in Charlotte and started that non flying job in June 2008. In January 2011 I retired fully from the military with 41 years 1 month and 10 days service for which in addition to my numerous military awards, I was presented with The Order of the Long Leaf Pine by Governor Perdue. Now I spend my days keeping up the farm, enjoying my wife and children, a little carpentry on the side and some golf. Hope this post finds you well and look me up on Facebook.
