Robert's Story
Life In HS, I carried the "I" at the football games. Three days after graduation, I entered the USAF. My first job was on the Launch Crew of a Titan II ICBM. My first assignment after school was in Tucson AZ where I met my wife, and our daughter was born. My next assignment was maintaining small nuclear missiles on B-52's at Minot ND. That's where our son was born. I stayed there for 13 years before changing to Logistics Management and moving to Mountain Home Id. After two years there, I moved to Oxford England, still in Logistics Management. In the 3 years there, I learned to fly, and flew a light plane all over England, Scotland, Whales, and France. In 1991 I retired just after the Gulf War, and moved to Seattle WA. I got a temporary job answering phones for a security company. In 3 years I moved up to Engineering Manager. I then started a new security company with the VP from the previous one. I was the Operations Manager for 7 years. When he sold the company, I didn't agree with the changes the new owners were making, so I quit and started my own business. I still fly, but now instead of renting, I own a 1955 Piper Tri-Pacer.

Nuclear Missiles carried on B-52s, and Logistics Planning. I retired right after the first Gulf War.
I worked as a temp while looking for perminent work. One of my temp jobs was for a low voltage electrical contractor who installed card access systems. One day their best technician was having trouble designing an interface circuit. I had the opportunity to demonstrate that I knew a lot about electronics, and I was no longer a temp. I worked there for 3 years and in that time advanced to the head of their engineering department.
The VP of that company decided to leave and start his own company. He asked one man to go with him, and that was me. The two of us started the new company and it grew dramatically for 5 years. He decided to retire and sold the company. I did not get along with the new owners and felt they were destroying it. I elected to leave and start my own company. Six months later, the company I left went out of business. Now I'm doing a fantastic business. I don't even have to go looking for work. All of my old customers called me with as much work as I could handle.
I have since moved on and now work at Boeing. I started on the 787, then moved on the the 777. I"m now working temporarily on the USAF Tanker and I have an assignment to move on to the 737.
Life is good.
