More about Robert:"Rob Morse has been taking photographs most of his life, but never seriously until 2007. Rob was born in Southern California then moved to Europe at the age of nine with his mother where he spent the next three years. After some time spent with his father he finally settled in again with his mother on the Central Coast of California. After a short time he found himself in the folds of what would turn out to be a twenty-five year drinking career. After many years bouncing around from coast to coast, and several brushes with death, Rob found himself homeless again in Lake Tahoe and decided to change his life. In January of 2007 a kind soul gave him ride to a homeless shelter in Reno and his new journey began.
After a year of sobriety Rob's father passed away. While at the services it was requested by his family that Robert relocate to Southern California to care for his mentally ill brother. Rob was not only honored that his family asked for his help, but decided to use this as an opportunity to immerse himself in the study and world of art and photography.

Crafton Hills College Rob took a class called "Photoshop for the digital photography". The instructor was Scott Kennedy, who immediately upon viewing Rob's unrefined ragtag portfolio informed Rob that he was a true artist and that he wanted to mentor him. In Robs words; "Scott Kennedy is the most technically sound photographer I have ever met, as well as the best teacher I ever had. he took my passion and raw talent for photography and turned it into a deeply refined skill. What this allows me to do is to methodically, and deliberately, reproduce what my eyes see, my brain thinks, and my soul feels, digitally, on film, and in print. I rely on a daily basis on the skills I learned in the two years I studied under and worked for Scott Kennedy, and for that I am truly grateful." In this time he also started showing his work at the Riverside Art Walk receiving rave reviews and an invitation to become a resident artist at Shutterstories fine art photography gallery in Riverside, CA. Rob has since returned to Lake Tahoe after a three year absence bringing with him his beautiful wife (Amy), and now is the proud father of Bella Aideen Sophia Morse.
Rob currently resides in South Lake Tahoe, CA and has started hand making his frames from reclaimed wood that is from the areas in which he shot the photographs. His art and photography is not only a reflection of his journey, but more to the point, it is a change of perspective of how he looks at life. This is best said in his own words. âArt and beauty can be found anywhere. What may appear to be ugly and ordinary at first glance becomes, with only a slight change of view, the beautiful and extraordinary.â".
