Robert's Story
Life
Ended a marriage to the former Eileen Tozlowski of Ashland, MA, having met at UMass Amherst - 40 years in June 2017. Three children, Rob, 42, a Plymouth University Graduate & Killington, VT Ski and Outdoorsman, Kerry 39, a UConn Graduate & very successful Product Manager in the Internet Travel Industry and Christopher, 36, Keene State College(NH) with his BFA, dabbled as a Sous Chef in San Francisco, and gave me first grandchild end of 2019.. Own and run a technical employment agency (franklinkey . com) in the information systems domain with 30+ years in the staffing industry, after 10 years in the high tech & retail systems industry, and 4 as a US Army Officer - 3 stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. Still work out regularly and ran a winter basketball program in Framingham for 25+ years. Gardening is another hobby. Elected President of the Board of Directors of Massachusetts Association of Personnel Services in 2006, 20+ years on the BOD.. Can say hello using "Bob at franklinkey . com"
Moved to Tyler, TX in Dec 2014 trading a 2015 winter of 120" of snow to dance around tornados! Living alone but keeping a healthy lifestyle and staying busy trying to give back to society what has gratefully been bestowed upon me. Volunteer at men's prisons 3 evenings a week leading discussion groups about a better way of life - without drugs and alcohol.
College
Rowed in the UMass Men's Crew team 3 years, finished 3d in the National(Dad Vail)Championship in 1974, in the Jr Varsity, the same year the Varsity won the National Championship. Rowed "bow" in the heavyweight division, while weighing less than an average lightweight oarsman. Was 2 years the team's treasurer. Additionally played intramural basketball and flag football, while a distinguished military graduate of the US Army ROTC program under a 3 year scholarship.
Completed a Masters in Systems Management degree from the University of Southern California (USC) while stationed in Frankfurt Germany.
While in the military also completed several Army Officer schools, including "Automated Data Processing" program an the now closed Ft Benjamin Harrision, Indianapolis Indiana and certification as a Nuclear, Biologic, & Chemical (NBC) officer while in Germany.

Bob has over 30 years in the Information Systems search industry after 10 years as systems analyst, project manager, and General Manager in Computer Manufacturing, Retail, and Systems Integration and Distribution. He has held regional and national leadership positions and speaking engagements with the Association for Systems Management (ASM) and the 36-year annual New England Systems Seminar. He received ASM's national achievement and merit awards for service. A member of International Who's Who of Professionals, he was also awarded the Certified Systems Professional designation from the Institute for Certification of Computer Professionals. His input is sought in National IS Salary Surveys. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Association of Personnel Services, a member of the Society of Information Management Boston Chapter, and the American Staffing Association.

Military
Distinguished Military Graduate from the ROTC program at UMass-Amherst in May of 1976 having attended the U.S. Army's Airborne and Ranger Schools the previous two summers. After commissoning as a Second Lieutenent, assigned the 228th Adjutant General Company in Offenbach Germany, first as the Company Executive Officer, then as Director of Postal Operations for the Greater Frankfurt A/Main area. Second half of three year tour, and promotion to First Lieutenent, selected to A Major slot as the Adjutant for the 205th Transportation Battalion (Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenence). During this assignment, completed an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. Was Awarded The Army Commendation Medal completing that tour and returned to the States to attend the Army's Officer Computer Information Systems School at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis. My last assignment prior to discharge to the Corporate world was the Systems Officer for the Army Transportation School at Fort Eustis, VA. Accepted an offer from Prime Computer in Natick, MA as a Senior Systems Analyst in September of 1980.
