Robert's Story
Hey, guys. I know I might have seemed a bit aloof in high school. It wasn't anything against any of you. I really liked my class (88) a lot. But, I had a secret that could have, I think, caused me more social and spiritual problems than I was really ready to take on: I'm gay.
After some pretty depressing college years (and a lot of praying), I decided to come out of the closet in 1991. Without getting too deep: Let it be known that I no longer have spiritual conflict about how God created me.
When I look back, it seemed like I was so obvious. I never dated anyone! Thank you, Lisa Havner, for going to senior prom with me! We ate snails at dinner. You made that evening a lo...Expand for more

After high school, I went to a bible college in Oklahoma City where I earned an AA; then I got my BA in English at Fresno State in December 1994.
Today, I'm a full-time graphic designer in San Francisco. I don't have any kids, but I have lots of nephews and nieces (thanks to my cousins Scott Karjala and Kim Corvi (Karjala), and my brother Jeff).
San Francisco is a blast! I don't believe that there is a happier place for me to live my life.
