Bob's Story

I have had a varied background from computer programmer to technical writer, actor, screenwriter, playwright, producer, and librarian at the Old Rock Library in Crested Butte, Colorado. In the IT industry, I wrote close to 100 technical manuals and training classes for major corporations. I have had my stage plays produced in Los Angeles and my hometown of Crested Butte. I have also written a number of full-length screenplays. In 2000, I received a fellowship from the Colorado Council on the Arts for my screenplay BIG WHITE BONNEVILLE, which I produced as a short film that toured the film festival circuit around the country. Several years ago, I completed a biography, ALMOST A WISEGUY, about a friend’s life in the Mafia who was also an alcoholic and drug addict, which will be published in the near future. My acting credits include stage, film and television. Some of his memorable TV roles were on MATLOCK with Andy Griffith, HILL STREET BLUES, and THE TONIGHT SHOW with Jay Leno. RAILWAY AVENUE is my first novel currently available as an e-book for Kindles and Nook's available at Amazon.com, Smashwords.com and other online retailer...Expand for more
s. It will be available in print around the end of 2031. RAILWAY AVENUE is a love story that spans the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. In it, Viet Nam vet Tommy DiNardo is willing to kill to avenge the murder of the woman he has loved since he was five years old. I live with my wife, Anita, in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, and spend winters skiing, the rest of the year hiking, biking and fishing. I have a new book out entitled, "Almost A Wiseguy." . It the gritty life story of my friend Vince Ciacci, a successful Los Angeles hairstylist and transplanted New Yorker who has been clean and sober over 25 years, but he once had aspirations to be a made-man in the Mafia. His life consisted of three failed marriages, armed robberies, drug deals, black outs and near death experiences. The birth of his daughter and his love for her made him come to grips with the destructive path he was on. To stop his downward spiral, he found help in Alcoholics Anonymous, but his road to recovery wasn’t an easy one. Since then, he has helped many addicted individuals to turn their lives aroud. The book is available at Amazon, other online retailers and book stores.
