More about Robert:"I am now retired after working as an insurance agent with Allstate Insurance Company for more that 29 years. I am married to my wife, Susan, for 43 years. We have 3 children, Rob 42, Patrick 39 and my daughter, Barbara 31.
Born in South Orange, New Jersey, moved to Hackensack, NJ when I was around 4 years old. Lived in Hackensack until I got married on 9-2-67. Had our first child, Rob, was born on 6-2-68, then Patrick was born on 5-15-71, finally my wife concieved a daughter, Barbara, born on 2-13-80.
My first job as a married man was with RCA Service Co in Hackensack, NJ. Worked there for 11 yers two months and one week. Starting out as an Appliance Techinician. Becoming promoted to Sales Manager and Office Manager then I left RCA and went on to become an Advertising and Sales Promotion Specialist with Sylvania Service Company in Hartsdale, New York. That job lasted only two years and I decided to become an Insurance Agent with Allstate Insurance Co in Nanuet, New York. Company and eventually the three other agents moved out of the office and either retired or opened their own offices. I remained in the Suffern office under a new program known as an Exclusive Agent.
On June 9, 2000 I decided to retire from Allstate and Move to Cape Cod, Mass.
We have lived on the Cape ever since. Originally, while still living in Ramsey, NJ. In May of 1994 we purchased a second home in Yarmouth Port , then a brand new house was purchased in June of 1999, with the intention of retireing to that home. In the interim we were renting out the original Yarmouth Port house until our second ( Brand New ) home was purchased also in Yarmouth Port. We knew we wanted to retire to the Cape but didn't know exactly when, so we rented out our first purchased home until things firmed up. I retired and we finally moved up to the Cape permanently in August 1999. Sold the original home in Yarmouth Port, sold that one about five years later and purchased another home in South Dennis, in which we now live.
I am very proud that all my children are well educated and successful.
Rob is a CPA working in New Jersey, Patrick is a financial consultant for TIAA-CREF in Denver, CO. and Barbara lives in NYC and has started her own business as a life coach. She is also an accomplished writer and has already published two books.
Partick and his wife, Lisa, have given us two Grand Kids, Rob and Barbara are still single. Waiting for the right one to enter their lives.
All in all, I am very happy with my life.".
