Robert's Story
Life
I used to be Robby Reynolds (I now go by "Rob"). My family moved to Patrick AFB Florida shortly after I started 8th grade at Vandenberg Jr. High (CA). My father retired from the Air Force and still lives in Satellite Beach, Florida, where I finished high school and spent a lot of time playing basketball and wishing I were somewhere else. I went to the University of Florida and stayed in Gainesville for nine years, teaching English for four years at Gainesville High, then moved to the Boston area for my third master...Expand for more
's degree (theology). Afterwards I tried to figure out what to do with my life. Years went by. I decided I could be warm figuring this stuff out, so I moved to Austin, Texas, on a whim, where I've lived since 1994 (except for nine months in 2004 in New York and Satellite Beach after my mother died). I currently work at various education and writing-related projects to cover the rent while I spend my free time writing and reading and going out to hear live music. I've now published six short stories. I've remained single.
