We were nationally ranked my Junior year and were selected to play in the Pasadena Bowl against Grambling University. I had to cover Charlie Joyner now in the pro football hall of fame. After five years at Sac. State I had obtained my B.A. and a teaching credential. In 1972, I applied for a teaching job at Exeter H.S.. Bob Heath our former h.s. principal was superintendent at the time told me that Exeter didn't need a teacher but would be needing a counselor when Ms. Deck retired and he encouraged me to participate in a counselor training program in New Mexico. y was Bob Heath's roomate at Arizona State. Obviously I got the job. I am currently a middle school counselor at Altimira Middle School in Sonoma California. I have been at this school since 1980. Long time huh?. I can't believe it. I enjoy traveling with LeeAnn, raquetball, windsurfing, hiking, fishing, golf, and visiting my children (5) and grandchildren (12). My oldest son John 38, is an engineer for Cisco, Jared 30 is a lineman for Edison in Visalia and was the top Edison qualifier in the Lineman's Rodeo and qualified to participate in the Kansas City international Rodeo this September. Allesha 28 is out of Charleston, South Carolina and works in an investment office as an insurance agent, office manager and whatever, Laura 27 is a manager at Teucomas Credit union in Visalia and Sara 24 is a teacher at Hurley Elementary in Visalia. My oldest grandson is 11 and the youngest two granddaughters were born December 31st and January 1st a few months ago. A current highlight to come this year is the 40th reunion of the Pasadena Bowl team of 1968. We will be introduced at half time at the opening game of Sacramento State's football season. The now picture is of my 60th birthday in our conference room at my school. Hope to hear from you Robert Rocha
