My parents were carnies until I was almost 11 years old. I was born within 5 minutes of an actual carnival in Mena, Arkansas. As a child, I was around people everyday, so I now have a very open personality, and gift with the public. I was born in January of 1967, so that should give you an idea of how old I am at present. <p></p> Being kid to carnie parents meant various things to my development as a human being. Kids develop their personalities and creativities at an early age afterall. I was certainly no different either. Since I usually started school late due to travelling with my parents during carnival season, I frequently had to catch up to the other students in schoolwork. This cramming taught me to learn things rapidly. As an adult now, I have one of the quickest wits you will ever meet. Also, since I was constantly around groups of people, I am not afraid of being in large crowds. This fearlessness has helped me succeed in public speaking, radio, newspaper, theatre, and customer service. In high school, I was an editor of the school newspaper, and was very active in the art, computer, and library clubs.
