Robert's Story
Life
Been forever since I've been on this site, so time for some updates. Let's see, after crashing my car at the CCV party out in Goochland... oh. wait. Not that far back! But for those of you that remember that night... well. Sorry. Didn't mean to crash the party quite like that!
So, if you were wondering who I am, yep. That's me. Big blue Ford
If you don¿t know the story¿ er¿ ignore the above!
The sad thing is I have NO IDEA whose party it was. So if it was yours, look me up and let me know! And I do apologize!
So my background: I have three wonderful children who fill my time with joy! Two boys and a girl born between 99 and 02, so youngens. I am no longer married, but then that is not that uncommon these days. Currently I am with Meridian Group, a full service advertising agency in Virginia Beach. Needed the change in view after my divorce! Here I handle all client branding engagements so I get to travel to fun exotic places and... spend my time in conference rooms. Ahhhh! The joys of TSA!
My various jobs have taken me all over the world: Europe, South America, and parts of Asia. Not to mention that...Expand for more
I have been in almost every state here in the US. And I would not trade anything for some of the places I have been and the sights I have seen! I have been lucky enough to have worked with some of the top brands including Anheuser-Busch and L'Oreal.
Prior to joining Meridian Group, I was owner of a full service brand consulting firm out of Pittsburgh. Sold it off a few years ago. Before that I worked in account service positions with several traditional full-service agencies. Lucky for me, I am no longer the gawky kid and now am a gifted speaker and have delivered numerous speeches and presentations to the industry!
I did serve as a US Marine on the front lines of Operation Desert Storm in the Gulf War and before that was in a fighter squadron down at Oceana in Virginia Beach. I have a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia.
I now live in Virginia Beach, so it's a little strange to return to some of the old places I used to go as a kid.
And I would like to apologize... for I did really drop off the face of the earth for many years so sorry about now keeping in touch!
Take care, and all the best!
Bob
