Robert's Story
After graduation I went into the Marine reserves and went to college for about a year and a half. I quit school and went into the work force for about another year and a half and wised up and went back to school. I finally received my Associates degree in May of '98. I was a land surveyor for a time and also drove a truck, I even got married to my wife Kelly, but eventually made it back to the Marines in '01 (active duty this time). Shortly after I went back in the Marines 9-11 happened and things got interesting. I spent time in Spain, Italy, Kuwait and Iraq. I left the Marines in '05 and after a brief period of driving a dump truck I started with Lehigh Cement in Union Bridge and I'm still there today working as a millwright. I love working on cars and trucks. I am obsessed with drag racing and spend a lot of time and money trying to get my '83 Mustang to go faster. I also enjoy hunting, especially with my bow. I don't fish as much as I used to, but the kids love bait fishing for what ever bites so those few days we get out are relaxing.
I'm not the jock I was in high school, but I still work out and love to compete. I think that's what I love about drag racing so much. It's a simple life, but a good life. I enjoy the memories of my past and find myself thinking about the friends I've made along the way. I guess that's why I'm here. So if you remember me and would like to chat send me a message.
