Robert's Story
Life
It's been a busy 50 years! I've lived around the country and done business around the world. It's been a great adventure. I've been happily married for 40 years and have two sons, 39 and 36.
I’m now officially retired, although I still do some consulting to keep in motorcycles!! I just couldn’t turn the business side of me off.
I spent a number of years in Las Vegas working for Expedia.com, but moved to Orlando in 2005 to take my dream job. I retired from Disney as Senior Vice President - Worldwide Travel Operations where I have responsibilities for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland. It is indeed a Magical place where dreams can come true. Mickey and Minnie are a lot of fun and that Donald Duck just quacks me up!
I spend most of my free time riding my Harleys for B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse). We currently in 19 countries and 46 States. I’m the State of Florida Public...Expand for more
Relations Officer.
I have an '15 CVO Ultra Limited, an ‘18 CVO Road Glide, an '08 Crossbones bobber, and a ‘56 Panhead. I just love hanging out at Bike Week and Biketoberfest in Daytona and the Sturgis Rally in South Dakota!! We don't have the same 365 days of free-riding sunshine here in Central Florida that I got used to in Vegas......but at least you can still ride and golf year 'round. You have to dodge a few raindrops and hurricanes, but it sure beats scraping your car windows and shoveling snow! Please visit the B.A.C.A. website at bacaworld (dot) org.
I'm also a martial artist. I know several disciplines, but am currently practicing Taikwondo. I do a little bit of MMA to keep the cardio system functioning. That's a challenge as I rapidly approach 70. I'm really hoping that 70 is the new 40. You're only as old as you feel. Right?? LOL
Does anyone know what happened to Donald Hohmann (Herr Hohmann) the German teacher at Stevenson??
