Bob's Story
After graduation I became an automobile mechanic; Drafted into the Marine Core in November 65 (that was a shock!), spent my time in at Camp Lejeune, NC (lucky, no Vietnam time); After discharge went to school using the GI bill to study computer programming, sorry no Accounting as I wanted to do; attended Northeastern University nights from September 72 through September 79 obtaining a BS in Management Information Systems; Started my career as a programmer and eventually worked up to the Director of Information Systems for New England Art Publishers in Abington MA; worked for several companies over this period of time; Was laid off July 31, 2015 from Quincy Compressor in Bay Minette, AL and have been searching for some consulting or full time work. uter users group in the world called COMMON, and held several position and did many presentations on the use of mid-range computers; On my third marriage and now living in Fairhope, Alabama, which is considered "The Carmel of The South" for those of you who know California; I have had a fairly good but rocky (at times) life. I look forward to catching up with y'all soon.
5/8/2016: Since my search for a new position in IT proved to be fruitless ( when you're over 50, forget it ) I am now an Uber driver and loving every minute of it. I get to run around the Mobile and Baldwin counties in Alabama transporting riders from and to their destinations. I can tell you a few stories when we get together at the next class reunion, which should be in 2018. Looking forward to seeing some of my old friends and pals from our class of '63.
