Robert's Story

Life After graduating from PHS, I attended PCC and majored in Administration of Justice, thinking that I was going to enter law enforcement as a career. That didn't pan out, and I found myself driving a school bus, first for Embree Buses in Pasadena, then for the Los Angeles Unified School District. After 30 years, I'm still with LAUSD, but have promoted into supervision. I've been a born-again Christian since my sophomore year at PHS, and I currently attend a great church in the San Fernando Valley where I've been attending for over 20 years. Also, I'd like to point out that my answer to the marital status question isn't quite accurate. The system only allows you to answer "single and loving/hating it", and I neither love nor hate being single. I would rather be married, so I don't love being single, but I'm not desper...Expand for more
ate, either, so I don't hate it. Just thought I'd clear that up! College My college experience has been far from illustrious. I attended PCC from '74-'76, majoring in Administration of Justice. I *thought* I would be going into police work as a career, but ended up in school bus transportation from '76-present. I was also in the official Tournament of Roses band. Workplace I started off driving a school bus for Embree Buses, thinking I'd eventually get into law enforcement as a career. However, that didn't happen, which was alright with me as I really like driving a bus. I continued driving, taking a job with the Los Angeles Unified School District in 1979. In 1986 when I was promoted to Assistant Area Bus Supervisor. In '94, I was promoted again to the position of Area Bus Supervisor; a position I hold to this day.

Thankful I made it home safe, and thankful for a hot bowl of chicken corn chowder on a cold rainy day.
Here at the last minute, but I got my vote in.
I like their description of the two item combo...kinda obvious. lol
Even though this place is a little sketchy, it's a former lunch spot in years past, so I'll give it a try. The salsa bar needs help!

As an official acknowledgement that I'm getting old, am here at the Pasadena Hilton for a retirement seminar. They gave us these little bags for our stuff. 😐

My lunchtime friend just gave me a little gift--candies made to look like little cheeseburgers. Cute and yummy!
