Robert's Story
Life
Teri and I are coming up on 32 years marriage in August (2007), have two daughters, and a son. After the master's degrees, we moved to Tucson to work on my doctorate -- a great experience -- 'heart-warming' even! Then moved to Louisiana for 6 years. Then at last, southern CA.
Played concertos with orchestra 3 times in the last 12 months: Gershwin (Rhapsody in Blue), Rachmaninoff (Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini) and Bartok (Piano Concerto No.2). Also performed with the St. Petersburg String Quartet (Russia). Am planning on taking some university students to Italy this summer (I did the same 4 years ago), after two weeks in Hawaii celebrating our youngest daughter's HS graduation!
Had heart surgery 3 years ago for a blocked artery; went into cardiac arrest in recovery (not a heart attack), but thank God i was revived! My wife and I spent a month that summer recuperating in . . . PARIS! Can't imagine a better picker-upper! I'm running now, and tending to my health.
Have been a university prof now for over 25 years.

d man who has ever had the privilege of living -- a fantastic wife, beautiful children, and a growing peace with God. He deserves the credit --!
Teri & I love to travel, but some of that is on hold while my in-laws are in frail physical and mental health. We moved them nearby from Pennsylvania in the summer of 2006, after her Dad was recovering from a bout with ecoli. Nasty stuff that left him a mere shell of his old (mental) self. He went from substitute teaching in the public schools in chemistry, physics, etc.,(at age 87 and 88!) to being unable to cope with a glass having been left out, and being unable to remember to take all of his meds each day.
Speaking of travel, summer of 2008 I have been invited to perform a piano recital in Bulgaria! Our normal method of international travel has been to do house exchanges -- we've loved our experiences!
UPDATE (2017): Teri and I now have 7 grandchildren-incredible. She is a cancer survivor, and doing well. My intention is to continue teaching, performing, and doing research. Still enjoy traveling a lot.
