Robert's Story
Military
I started my working career in the United States Air Force where I was trained as Site Developer (553x0) civil engineering technician. I spent the next twenty years at worldwide base level civil engineering assignments. I was stationed at the following USAF bases, Charleston, MacDill, Elmendorf, Lowry, Norton. My overseas assignment was to Heidelberg Germany. My last assignment at the USAF Ballistic Missile allowed me to be cross trained into the aerospace quality assurance career field as Quality Assurance Manager (QAM). ity assurance, quality control, and project and program management. I was at the leading edge of the USAF TQM initiative in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
03/10/2024 Update: I am in my 12 year working full time at Brevard County School District as a maintenance supervisor. Other than my USAF career, this is the best job I have had. Kathi is retired from GE. Son Thomas is a retired US Army LTC and lives with his family in Vienna, VA. Our grandson will be 8 later this month. Daughter Becky is an elementary school teacher in Polk County Florida. She lives with her husband in Davenport Florida.
