You may better remember me as the tall dude with the crippled left arm. I majored in drafting; Mr Royster was my instructor. Upon graduation I enrolled in Morgan Park Junior College. After a year I transferred to the Illinois Institute of Technology, formerly Armour Tech. I majored in Mechanical Engineering and graduated in January of 51. During my last two years I was on a work-study program with the Bureau of Reclamation in Denver Colo. I had a job upon graduation in Denver. I worked in the office until April when they sent me to Hungry Horse Dam in Northern Montana. I was an Inspector on the heavy construction project. The project was 25 miles from Glacier National Park so I visited there and in Canada many many times. Construction shut down in November so it was back to Chicago. I took a job with a consulting engineering firm in downtown Chicago. Come April of 52 they sent me to Northern Minnesota as field engineer on a Taconite mining project townsite.
