Life
I am ordained clergy, and on staff at The Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Detroit, Michigan. I have also worked in various capacities from ministerial status in the areas of social justice, civic endeavors, and business support networking. I graduated from The Univ. of Michigan in May, 1973, with a B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in Psychology; I received the Master of Divinity degree in Theology from The Boston University School of Theology in 1976, with Area Concentration in Sociology of Religion: Philosophy, Theology, Ethics. Since then, I have been blessed by the Lord to have pastored more than a total of 18 various Protestant congregations in the past 41 years, throughout the East, South, and Midwestern United States, moving about in a circuit ministry for mostly inner city churches and black rural congregations of the South; I was Director for Urban Ministries in New Jersey,and worked in Senior citizen, youth, and health calre chaplain ministries as well, du...Expand for more
ring the latter part of the 20th century. I have also taught on every public school education level, as an instructor in two community colleges, and served as News Director, Engineer, program host, and news editor and reporter for two radio stations and an urban city newspaper, respectively. Having given service in seminars on Protestant Church ministries & humanitarian concerns for community development efforts for numerous colleges and volunteer community groups, I have also had the opportunity to teach as an instructor for Baker College of Business, and Highland Park Junior College . I served as a chaplain for the State of Massachusetts and Michigan in the areas of counseling, mental health, and juvenile delinquency. My history and current endeavors have stemmed from a sacred call to serve all of God's people as a professional minister of the Gospel, with accompanying commitments of loyalty in personal service to the values of love, justice, and appreciation, whenever possible.
