Roberta's Story

Life Well, things have changed again...the joy of living in California! I am now working at Fairmont Private Schools as a Resource Specialist, and I love my new job. I get to work with both intervention and enrichment students of all ages from 4 to 14. Couldn't ask for a better job! I was working as a math and science editor at an educational publishing firm in Huntington Beach. I got laid off in June due to budget cuts after my first year teaching kindergarten in Irvine, CA. After teaching 5th grade, kinder was very fun and exciting! I love to play softball and travel with my women's tournament team all over t...Expand for more
he U.S. We've played in Palm Springs, Seattle, Phoenix, and even Mobile, Alabama. My husband, Hugh, is a marketing consultant and my son, Paul, graduated from University HS in 2009 and is ready to attend Chico State U in January. We have a pet tortoise and a beagle named Mandy. Also, we have 3 goldfish from my kinder class that need a coy pond, they are so huge! Living in So Cal is very different from life in Baltimore, and although I miss my family, I wouldn't move back for anything!
