Roberta's Story
I became a billboard artist/painter for Lamar Advertising in Mobile Alabama in somewhere around 1977. I did all their high pictorial paintings. They had lost the Coca-Cola account so that was my first assignment. It was a forty eight foot long painting in artist oils of four huge cokes in ice. Working for them set my future in motion I painted my heart out ! Lol…I had my own business before it was over. I went on to become a Registered Nurse....Expand for more
That’s what I am doing now but my desire is to return to painting. When my parents moved me in the middle of my senior year it broke my heart. It changed the course of my life . However when I got control of my own life it has been wonderful. I did have breast cancer two years ago began the Chemo pill it broke me out head to toe I stopped therapy myself. They had removed my left breast early on. So how are you all doing? I remember you all .
