Life
Education: MBA from Florida State University.
Work: Retired October 2001, after working in education for 36 years. My last position was as Associate Vice Chancellor, Human Resources & Labor Relations,State University System of Florida, where I was responsible for labor negotiations and personnel policy for 60,000+ employees. I was honored by receiving the E.T.York Distinguished Service Award upon my retirement--one of only 5 given in the 40 year history of the Florida Board of Regents.

Cross as manager of the Jefferson County Disaster Services Office for 6 years. I Was deployed on several national disasters and I was an assistant manager of administration responsible for coordinating the 8 counties’ disaster response in Tallahassee area.
I live on Lake Hickory in NC and enjoy boating, jet ski, kayaking, fishing and reading. I am a Master Gardener and and an amateur radio operator K4HRM. I play senior women’s basketball and Pickleball for the Unifour Red Foxes.
My partner and I have been together for 20 years.
