Robin Gore:  

Here we are in our late sixties. My, my, what stories of our lives we could tell. I certainly have a great life still. After high school, I married Rick & we were together for six years and our first fight we split. Then I went to colleges a lot for awhile and became many things. I got to know myself in those times. Spent many days in mountains in cabins, hiking all over the United States for decades. Green grass & blue skies was my mantra for years. After 14 years of single hood I decided to marry Mike because I loved his Mother. She was my best friend for a long time. Mike left and I was glad. I did have a daughter with Rick and a son with Mike. My children have been great investments and holiday comforts. So, around age 32, I changed my hiking days to buying a country house with a lot of black dirt and a lot of land. It was then that I recalled my childhood years and connected the dots to whom I really was by my interactions with my grandparents whom mentored me. My wild parents, whom I miss, worked and my grandparents baby-sat me in elementary years. Granddaddy Davis taught me hiking, plants, flowers, how to take care of animals, both domestic and wild; how to call animals back home; how to shoot straight, how to garden, and how to have eternal life with Jesus. Granddaddy Davis told me my other Grandfather was Al Gore Sr., the Senator, when I was in the 4th grade at Normal Park. Everything Grandaddy told & taught me stuck in my soul. His mantle is mine. So, when Mike left, I went to college another 4 years & became an Artist & worked in Healthcare (still am). Been single for 26 years now. Every since 1991, I have gone to church every week. Today, is June 14, 2024. So, I‘ve been a church lady for 33 years. Christ is my most valuable relationship by far. His Bible is my ship for life....Expand for more
