Robin's Story
Hello Old Friends,
I often think about my years at Venice High School. I wonder about my old friends that I not only grew up with but went to high school with. So much has taken place since I was in school. A lot of mountains have been climbed and a lot of valleys have I walked through. But never did I trudge through them alone. The Lord saw fit to bless me with a lot of good people in my life. They are present now just like when I was in high school. As I reflect back I must admit one thing I have truly been blessed in my life. Life is good, I know the Lord's peace and his joy unspeakable full of glory. The greatest valley I have yet traveled occurred in June of 2007. My brother, Timothy A. Davis passed away. He was a 1971 Venice High School grad. He is greatly missed by my mother and I. For those of you who know the Lord, He is definitely with him. I moved to Oklahoma in 1989. My brother relocated to Oklahoma in 1994. He was quite happy here and was content in his life at the time of his death. My mother still lives in California. She is 87 yrs young and is in excellent health. I lived in the country, in a trailer that belonged to my brother. But recently moved into a three bedroom house in Midwest City, OK. I have two cats, "Abby" and "Annie". I am currently taking classes...Expand for more
at Oklahoma State University. I am taking courses to complete my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Management. I am also employed at The Exchange at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City. We had a lot of precipitation this year. As you may have heard Oklahoma had its fair share of natural disasters. We had three devastating tornadoes hit three communities not far from where I currently live. The prettiest time of year, I believe, is in the spring time when everything comes back to life after winter is over. Everything is so green. The trees and grass. The spring flowers begin to bloom and all of nature awakes. I had deer that roamed around the property I lived on when I lived in the trailer. Compared to California, I have a very humble existence but I would not change it for anything. I wanted to get away from the rat race I knew all too well in California. I moved to Oklahoma because of the people. Everyone I know I know. I was tired of living next to people and never knowing who my neighbors were. I know my neighbors now. I would like to extend an invitation to whoever reads this to come to see me. My old friends are welcome in my home anytime. I guess its "Southern Hospitality". If any of you remember me, drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you. I will respond back. Take care and God Bless.
