Robin's Story
Life
I have been married to Ed Doherty since September '96. We lived in Northeast Ohio for almost 5 years before moving back to Jersey. We are the proud parents of a beautiful daughter named Erin (born Dec. 1999 in Akron)and twins sons, Patrick & Keith (July 2002).
Before having kids, I was a sales assistant for a commercial printer in Stow, Ohio. Now I am a stay-at-home mom and am just trying to keep up with the kids!!!
I would love to hear from some of my old friends!
Workplace
I had a brief stint working for Blockbuster Video in Cranford working late and going to school early and studying somewhere in between. I left Blockbuster and met my future husband Ed working at a concession inside Sears for a short time. made a lot of friends but then we moved to Ohio.
In Ohio, I had a great job working at Printing Concepts. I started out as a receptionist working the front counter, but then was promoted into the sales department as an assistant to a few Account Executives. What I really enjoyed was researching and getting bids for the jobs we couldn't produce in-house. It's amazing that there are so many niche companies that you'd never know about otherwise!
It seemed strange to stop working (every Christmas I mark another anniversary of being a SAHM) but now it's hard to imagine juggling a career and kids. It seems like their activities take over my calendar! I'm active in a local twins club (Raritan Valley Mothers of Multiples) and help out where I can with Erin's Brownie troop. I'm still keeping one eye out for just the right job...
