Robin's Story
Life
I have been married for 21 years.... to the same man. An unusual feat in today's society. I have three children, two boys and one girl. A 30 year old stepson, a 19 year old boy and a 16 year old daughter. About 13 years ago, I decided to switch careers and went back to school to get my teaching credential. I am now a kindergarten teacher and I love it. I am blessed with a husband who would let me make such a drastic change in our lifestyle. I would love to stay in touch with old friends. Workplace
Began in Internal Audit with a private firm. Traveled the country for several years conducting audits. Did the same kind of work for Cedars Sinai Med. Ctr. for several years. Moved to Lockheed Martin after my first child (took a year off). MOved into management rather quickly and stayed there for several years. Consulting was the main focus. During those years, I realized I wanted to change careers to a more value-added profession. Voila. I am now teaching kindergarten and absolutely love it. With as many years as we need to work, today, before we can collect retirement, we may as well have more than one career, wouldn't you say?
