Robin's Story

I grew up in Cypress going from Kindergarten to sixth grade at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, then from seventh thru ninth grade at Pine Jr. High. My best friend from Jefferson Elementary was Necia Seely, I really miss her a lot. My other friend was Cheryl Gill and my cousin Terri Williams, whom I do stay in contact via email. I can remember in Jr. High going to the stables every weekend and summer. Terri and I would ride down the railroad tracks and follow them to just about everywhere they would take us. I loved it. I do remember other people from Cypress like Leetha, who also had a horse and Kelly Gilbert. Then after 9th grade my parents got divorced, my sister, Nikki, my mother and I moved to Garden Grove. My dad bought me my first horse, (her name was Lodi) at least the one I actually owned on my own. I met my best friend in the whole wide world, Donna. She also had a horse and we hung out all the time. She is still my best friend today. After we decided not to own horses anymore, we moved onto bigger and better things. Mostly guys, sometimes cars!! Of course, over the years we have all done our own thing and we have also moved in different directions. I moved in with Frank Weatherbee sometime after high school. In May 1985, we got married. We moved to Lake Elsinore. In 1988, I gave birth to my beautiful son, Cliff. Soon after the birth of our son, we purchased a new mobile home and put it on our property where we also built a huge six-car garage, where we had a nice motor assembly room, an upstairs storage and enough room...Expand for more
to have a dance floor when we had parties. In 1991, I gave birth to two beautiful daughters, Alyson and Lynzi. In 1992, it was time for me to get away from Calif. I moved to Arkansas with my 1979 Chevy Suburban (which I still own)the children and my German Shepard, Samantha. I quickly went to work and raised my children. In 1994, Frank moved to Ark, we gave our marriage one last effort, and we bought a wonderful house on near 3 acres, with a shop, a barn and a garage for my truck. There is no way that if we still lived in Calif. that we could have bought a house and property of this magnitude. Fortunately or Unfortunately, in 2000 Frank and I divorced. He moved back to Calif. and I stayed in Arkansas. When my son was 17, he joined the Arkansas National Guards and the following year he graduated from Rogers High School, in Arkansas. The summer after he graduated high school he went to boot camp at Fort Benning, GA. What a wonderful graduation. I was so proud of my son. He accomplished so much in such a short period of time. In March of 2008, he was deployed to Iraq. He returned safe in December of 2008. On March 11th my daughters turned 18, Thank God my son was here to celebrate their birthday with them, then in May of 2009 my daughters, Alyson and Lynzi graduated from Rogers High School, in Arkansas. Both girls started working right after high school. This coming August, Lynzi and I will be going to college (yes to the same college). I started going to college in the Spring of 2007. I am going back to get an AAS in Paralegal.
