Robin's Story
Life
I've been married to the same guy for 24 years now. We have two beautiful children,a boy, Lane (20) and a girl, Kristen (19).
Lane played baseball for New Iberia Senior High School as the starting Varsity Catcher and then went on to play college baseball in Texas. After blowing out his shoulder, he came back to Louisiana to continue his education. He is a paramedic for Acadian Ambulance and is 1 1/2 years away from graduating as a RN Flight Trauma Nurse. From there he will go on to finish as an emergency room doctor.
Kristen was a Varsity Cheerleader, and competitive gymnast in high school. Kristen models professionally doing print work for several magazines and tourism ads. She also competes in festival pageants and currently reigns as the 23rd Church Point Buggy Festival Queen and travels Louisiana as a spokesperson for Tourism. nutrition with an emphasis as a Personal Trainer. In 2007, she will be purchasing a health club in Lafayette and will become a business owner at the age of 19.
My husband, Mike, is a Chemical Engineer working for a major corporation. He travels a lot with his job, and when he's home we spend our time with our children, other family members and traveling.
Presently at this time, I have become self-employed as a Louisiana Civil Law Notary Public. My emphasis is in real estate where I perform mortgage loan closings, abstracting work, and private consulting for attorneys and other business owners.
Since graduating and leaving Jennings the night of graduation, I have never turned back. I've enjoyed where the road has taken me and I'm definetly content with my life and watching my children become successful young adults.
I still enjoy keeping in contact with my close friends, but would enjoy hearing from others.
