Life After high school I spent over a decade in the Navy. Both in my military career and afterwards, I traveled to nearly every continent and all over the British Isles, Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Africa and the Mid-East. I eventually returned to Oklahoma where I became a police officer and advanced to patrol sergeant. I met and married D.J., who was a detective there and then moved to Alaska in 1995.
