I was divorced for 10 years and married a wonderful man in April 2006. I have 3 great kids - Matthew 18 yrs., Daniel 17 yrs. and Katie 15 yrs. We relocated to Manchester Iowa in August 2006, a little farm town in northeast Iowa. Got a Paralegal degree in 1998. Traveled cross-country 4 times, lived in Seattle and Phoenix and discovered a beautiful country beyond the East Coast. Every time I get on this board, I'm struck with the thought of how much life changes after high school. Life becomes the great equalizer. 974 really doesn't matter anymore. Life is good. My best to you all. School I "did time" for my 5 years at BRHS. It wasn't bad...it wasn't great...it just was. Never part of the popular crowd, I came into my own as an adult. College I was on the 15-year plan for college. Started out as an art major, got bored with that and majored in the "ologies"...sociology, psychology, anthropology. I dropped out of NVCC a couple of credits shy of an AA degree. Went back to school and graduated in 1998 with a paralegal degree. I learned that I hated working for attorneys! Workplace Work is just a means to an end. Motherhood has been my primary career for 13 years and any paying job has taken a backseat. I worked in Human Resources and loved it. Since moving to Iowa, I've been at home and very involved in local politics.
