Robin's Story
I've been married 31 years. Who would have thought I'd marry a cowboy. He literly saved me from a life that was going nowhere. We met at a Taco Bell in Chandler Az. and married 9 months later .We have 3 boys. Michael 27 Christopher 26 and Wyatt 11. I have 3 Grandchildren, Elixes 6 William 4 and Jamison 1. My Family is my life.
I left Lordsburg after my parents divorce at age 12. It was very hard and came out of the blue and I wasn't given any time to say my goodbye's. Just get in the car and that was it.
I've worked 20 years in different fields so now I work on taking care of the more important things. My family.
We were partners in a family run dairy in Utah and now live just down the street from My son and his family. He just returned from Irag and works in security at a chemical depot and going to college.
Michael graduated from college in physics and is single.
Wyatt's in 6th grade and plays the trumpet.
I have many friends.
I think of my life in Lordsburg till the time I was 14 and remember the friends I had who made it tolerable.
I go back now and then to see my family there but not as often as I would like.
My brothers are still there, Michael Jones, Arliss Jones and Adrian Jones. My Dad LeRoy and his wife Lucina are also there.
My brother Edgar lives elsewhere.
I hope those of you who read this can remember me. I remember all of you.
Does anyone remember the home ec. teacher in 6th grade? I still see her girdle lines through her pants in my head and that image has been the best diet aid I could e...Expand for more
ver have.
I remember when they used us as free labor to move the school furniture to the new school. Can you imagine how that would go over now?
I went back a few years ago and looked at the slide at the elemtary school and thought it looked a lot bigger when I was 7 and fell off.
My life wasn't easy when I lived in Lordsburg. As a matter of fact it was hell. But it was something I didn't share with anyone. When I was at school it was a relief to be somewhere safe. Most days I felt like I didn't fit in for whatever reason. I think I got along pretty much with everyone if I remember correctly. My best friend was Toni Yanez and I was able to see her a few years ago in Az.
Doesn't it just gripe your ass that computers and the web weren't there for us back then. Now that would have been great!
I have a Myspace page so if you want, look me up there too. When I'm not watching the kids I play on this thing. Oh and when Carl my Husband is home we spend every minute we can together with the little guys, but I take me time now and then. Don't get hurt if you contact me and I don't get right back at you cause sometimes things get a little crazy here. You know, peanut butter on the keyboard , getting locked out while they're looking through the window, or best yet having to race out of the house after they put a box under your nose to show you the 10 scorpions they found under rocks. I tell you, THEY'RE EVIL! But I still love them and even better I know they love me back.
Well I hope I hear from you.
See you around, Robin
