Dear friends from Laguna Beach or wherever... You are the chosen few who knows for sure that my name, Robin Williams, was given to me before it was given to the DOUBTFIRE lady. Mork from Ork was certified CRAZY but so was I in high school It was in high school that I had no clue how to be a good student. If I ever got an A it was by accident. I had no idea what they wanted me to know. I could NEVER diagram a sentence. Math was like ancient Greek. Science --- forget about it. But acting in the plays was something I could do without calling upon the Greek Gods to help me. At Laguna Playhouse I was awarded 12 leading roles. At Orange Coast College I played PEER GYNT which meant I was on stage for three hours. Every other line belonged to PEER GYNT and every line was a page long. I was called up to Paramount Studios because of my role as Peer Gynt. They wanted me to read detective roles and they set me up with an acting coach to tone me down for the camera.
