Life I moved away from Ventura shortly after marrying my husband, Ron. We're still together after 36 years and have one son. Thanks to hubby's 26+ year Naval career, I've lived in several other states, including Alaska, Virginia and am currently in Texas. I positively hate it as I do not fit in and the plan is to move back to California once he has retired completely from his second "career" with the DOE. While in Virginia, I returned to school and earned my degree in Computers and spent about 12 yrs working with them before finally giving it up in 1997. My current projects include being a published author (1st book - "Dhampir" published in May, 2001, 2nd book in the works), renovating our home and meching on vintage sewing machines. I often give away machines to those who cannot afford one and, of course, sew on the ones I keep. I stopped counting after 70 machines, but figure if I had kept them all I would have over 100 by now.
