Robyn's Story
Hi to all!
1970 seems a lifetime ago but I have many fantastic memories of people and fun times!
I live at Lake Glenmaggie, in Gippsland , with John, my husband . We have been married for 41 years! Thirty seven years ago we built a log cabin home on 2 hectares of bush beside the Lake. Our children Damien and Erika were raised in this serene environment. We are both environmentally conscious and love bush walking.
I have taught in many Primary Schools in this area of Gippsland retiring last year. Rural teaching has been rewarding, immensely fulfilling and challenging too. For the final 20 years of my career I was at Heyfield Primary as a Leading Teacher. arding. John was a Primary teacher and Principal too. We worked together for 13 brilliant years.
John and I have had the travel bug ever since we first met in Feb '74. We have traveled the world together. We never tire of the buzz of seeing new places and meeting people. We have researched and traveled to our places of heritage; meeting relatives and discovering more about our ancestors. John was born in Hawaii and grew up in San Diego, California. He has been a proud Australian citizen since 1979.
We have 5 grandchildren from 1 year to 7. The three oldest will be at Coatesville Primary this year. Both our children are settled in Bentleigh East where I grew up. Visiting Family in Melbourne is great fun for us. Damien is an Osteopath and Erika is a Primary Teacher. Both have married wisely and enjoy their lifestyle in the city!
Cheers and Best Wishes,
Robyn.
