Robyn's Story
Life
Aloha!....from the Big Island of Hawaii, where I have lived since 1997. My life since high school has been one big adventure, and I have learned much along the way....after graduation I went to COCC for a year, moved to New York and worked as a nanny, moved to Houston and worked as a nanny, moved back to Oregon and went to LBCC for a couple of years, got married, had a 2 1/2 month premature baby (my daughter, Autumn, now 17), moved to the Oregon Coast and went into hotel management, moved to Hawaii, experienced kidney failure and was on kidney dialysis for 8 years, went through 2 kidney transplants and a pancreas transplant (whew!), divorced and remarried in 2007, have continuously worked in theatre and have acted in 30 productions and have directed half a dozen plays, recently went back to school at the University of Hawaii, and just had open heart surgery this past September! replaced body parts (ha!), and only God knows why I'm still around to talk about it! Joe and I just celebrated our first wedding anniversary October 6 (see photo of me looking VERY happy, which I am), and my daughter is getting ready to graduate from high school and go on college at Southern Oregon University in Ashland this fall and pursue her studies in history and film studies. We live in the beautiful town of Waimea, and have a fanastic view of Mauna Kea, and the beach is 20 minutes down the hill!
My life has been full of many challenges, many joys, and continues to teach me much about how amazing life really is!
I have many fond memories from high school days, but I've lost touch with everyone! I still have my 1963 Chevrolet Corvair that I drove in high school, if anyone remembers that (Wes Murphy!).
