Roderick's Story
Life
So what have I been up to, hmmm, let's see: After graduating from OMS I moved to Oregon with my mom and stepdad. I lived in Scappoose, OR until my junior year of high school, then I moved to Rio Rancho, NM. Finished up high school, attended a few semesters of college. My stepdad passed away from cancer, mom moved back to Oregon. I then moved back not to long afterwards. Lived in Hillsboro, OR, met my wife, married in 1997, had our son in 1998, our first daughter in 2000, 2nd daughter in 2001, and last daughter 2005 (did you noticed I said last). Live back in Scappoose, OR, own a house and living life to its fullest. Always busy and if you have kids you know what I am talking about.
Workplace
My first real job was at McDonald's and Wendy's. Have to say, I was pretty stoked to get my uniform, even tried it on. I worked both places for a few months, then quit...Expand for more
the McD's job and worked at Wendy's a bit longer. Then I was able to get a job at Movies West. Worked there for almost a year, then jumped over to United Theaters and worked there until I graduated. After high school I got a job working for a family friend doing deliveries. Worked there until I moved back to Oregon. I worked for a Plastic Distribution company as a delivery driver and in the warehouse. I then got a job working on a jobsite of a Mechanical Contractor. Then I got a job working for a mechanical contractor in the office, then from there I landed my current job.
Military
Well not much to day here. It was after 9/11 when I joined the Naval Reserves. I was in NMCB 18, Det 1418 out of Portland, OR. It was Seabee det. Never saw action, drilled up in Washington. Had some great times. The guys I drilled with I will never forget, a bunch of great people.
