Life
Born 27 Sep, 1939 Waimea,HA Rodney Kaapuni Robinson. Lost my Faher, 14 Jan, 41 due to auto accident. Mother married Charles H. Hustace 27 Oct, 41.Name changed to Hustace. Dad in the Army. Left Waimea 1945 moved to Honolulu. Moved to Korea Dec47. Moved to El paso, TX Aug48. Left Austin HS, El Paso, Tx in Mar54, joining Dad in Osaka Japan. Attended Kyoto American HS. Departed Japan Mar55 for Davenport, Iowa. Left in Mar57, just before graduation. Family moved to Hawaii. Mar57, Grad from Leilihua HS. Wanted to enter Univ of Hawaii - football & basketball. Instead joined the USAF, Jul57. Joined USAF in Jul57.Spent 22 yrs retiring 2 Aug, 79. Married Jolene, in Aug59. She is from Prestonburg, Ky, which is in Eastern, Ky. We have four children, ages 46/45 DAU/43/41. Also have six Grandsons, 22/22/16/15/10/8.
Retired from the Air Force after 22 years - Enlised service in Personnel. Assignments were in: Tx, Il, Hawaii, Germany, Vietnam. Retired Medically from the San Antonio Express - News, after 18 yrs. Have been fully Retired since Jun95. After 32 years in San Antonio, we moved to Cedar Park, Tx., in Jan 2000. Address 1907 Continental Pass, Cedar Park, Tx., 78613. May 2003, we moved 205 S. Prairie Ln, Georgtown, Tx., 78628.

We also have six grandsons: 22/22/16/15/10/8. Nov 2007, we are expecting our first two Great-Grandkids.

K/G, 1st and 2nd attended Kiamuki Elem. Aug47 3rd attended Seoul American Sch. 4th thru 6th attended Crockett, Morehead, back to Crockett, Sam Houston, Hillside Elemtary. 7th thru 9th attended Austin HS. 9th & 10th Kyoto American HS. 10th & 12th attended Davenport HS. Left just prior to graduation and grad from Leilihua HS, Wahiawa, HA. Thur the school years G/Fs: Susie Richardson, Ann Pryor, Glenda Eldredge, Melissa Huddell, Sandy Johnson, Nadine Metzenhoff & Maxine Kahoiwai. Ida Jolene Bingham my biggest crush and we married 1 Aug, 59.
I would do it all over again. I can't say which was my happiest momment, as they were all very special.

Craziest Momment" Homecoming 1957 playing Moline HS, IL in the rain and mud - 6 inches of rain on the field. Playing Basketball in Kyoto Jaapan - Waking up at 5AM - traveling from Hamdera by School Bus to Osaka RTO on to RTO Kyoto School Bus to Kyoto American HS at 8AM then School Bus to Basketball practice, after practice Bus to Kyoto RTO, train to Osaka RTO, then train to Hamdera Military Housing and home at 9PM homework and dinner. Next day starts all over again. It all paid off as we came in 2nd in American HS Basketball Tournament 1955 - and my Brother Jack being named the MVP. So very proud of the team: Buzzy Sturgest, Mike Maloney, Coleman Clarke, Jack and myself We came from a school with 65 students.
Happiest: School dances Kyoto Japan and Sandy Johnson. Staying at Terry Sammons house. Very special!!!! Davenport HS dances & Sports - Nadine Metzenhoff, Donna Jacobs, Jim Davis, Jim Beck, Jerry Frie, Dennis Dietz!! Freinds I met at Leilihua HS Wahiawa S HA: Maixine, Greta, Marilyn, Jackie, Myrtis, Charlie, Milton, George, Leroy, Harold .
Military
Joined the USAF in 31Jul57. Name changed to birth certificate name Rodney Kaapuni Robinson. USAF wouldn't let me use Hustace. Took Basic Tng at Lackland AFB, Tx. 1st duty assignment James Connally AFB, Waco, Tx. Jun 60, we went to Chanute AFB,Rantoul,Il with the 3505 USAF Recruiting Gp. Mar62, we moved to Hickam AFB, HA - 1502 ATWG. Jun64, Lindsay AFB, Wiesbaden, Germany - DCS/P MID. Jun67, we moved to Randolph AFB, San Antonio, Tx - HQ ATC/Pers. Jun71 - Saigon, Vietnam - 377 Spt Wg - CBPO Personnel. Jul72, back to Randolph AFB, San Antonio, Tx. Retired from Hq ATC/Personnel in Aug 79 - 22 years Service.
