Rodney's Story
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. I visited my grandparents in Michigan during my summer vacations while growing up. I joined the Mormon Church when I was 17 and then later moved to Boise Idaho when I was 21. I had always struggled with inner feelings but with family and friends the pressure was to great. Shortly after my move I met my son's mother and got married in the Boise Temple. My son Daniel was literally an answer to my prayers. He is my pride and joy and means everything to me. My son is number one in my life and whoever I am with will need to accept that and also support that.
After my divorce I started to deal with the feelings I had been struggling with most of my life. I came out to some of my friends and family, including my mother. When I finally moved to Montana I had decided I was finally going to live my life as the person I really am... I am a caring, compassionate individual who often will put my needs and desires on the back burner to bring peace and happiness to a relationship. ll sometimes need to come first. I will often go without to see that the person I am with has their wants and needs met first. I am anal retentive, I believe everything has its place and organization is a must. I like a clean home, clean as you go when cooking and no clothes on the bedroom floor. If you see something that needs to be done, do it, and don't expect that someone else will do it. I am not into playing video games or watching cartoons. If the person values the person they are with they will live in reality and not a fantasyland. Family is important and should always be part of your life, somehow if possible. Friends are great and sometimes without them it seems life would come to an end. But what about good solid trusting relationships? Why are they so hard to come by? Doesn't anyone believe in commitments anymore? Time in this world is short and to have someone that is always there is worth so much. Cherish every moment. Never take things or them for granted. One day you could turn around and it will all be gone. Live life for today, for tomorrow may never come. If tomorrow does come at least you will still have family and friends to turn to when you need them. Treat that special someone well. Just remember to hang on through life, fasten your seatbelts, there may be turbulents ahead!!!
