Roger's Story
My name is Roger Ahrens and I was a member of the Class of 1961 at St. Philip Neri School, in Northport, L.I.
This year, 2011, marks the 50th anniversary of our class's graduation from St. Philip's. Since my family and I moved from Greenlawn, L.I. to Connecticut during my freshman year in high school, I never really got to see any of my classmates from St. Philip's again. In the hope of seeing some of them again after nearly 50 years, I have begun an effort to locate some of my classmates and to plan a 50th reunion during the early fall of 2011.

ou informed about our reunion plans as they develop. We are tentatively planning to hold the reunion at a restaurant or hall somewhere in the Northport area, preferably on a Saturday night. We also plan to block off a set of rooms at a nearby hotel, so that classmates and their spouses will have a convenient place to stay.
To date, I have managed to find 23 of the 46 members of the Boys' class and seven of the 42 members of the Girls' class. If you are a member of the Class of 1961, please let us know your whereabouts and plan to join us this fall for a fun-filled reunion with your classmates from the St. Philip's Class of 1961.
