Roger's Story
I now live in Edinburgh, Scotland and retired in December 2008 after a career in Social Work.
My family left Toronto in 1953 and we returned to Portsmouth, England,where my father was from. I went to Primary and Grammar school in Portsmouth.
I did a degree at King's College, London, after I had taken a course in teachers' training; but I gave that career up and joined my family in the U....Expand for more
S.A to which they had emigrated in 1966.
Back to England I came in 1974/5 working as a volunteer with the homeless before I came up to Scotland in 1977. I've been here since! (It's the porridge and the malt!)
Now that I'm retired I'm doing a lot of writing- I've had 7 chess books published, a book of short stories and just this month a novel. Next in the pipeline is "A Canadian Childhood"!
