Roger's Story
Life
I am currently work Abilene, TX. Working for Sprint in a 2way radio warehouse. I was a Field service tech for Nextel Partners Inc. Wireless phones for 8 years. Nextel Parners was bought by Sprint and my Field job got downsized. I Spent 6 Years in US Coast Guard as telecommunications tech. AAS in Telecommunications Technology. I want to spend most of my off time at Lake Brownwood, I have a small RV lot with trailer there.
School
I'll just list the schools I attened.College Baptsit Kindergarten, Boydston Elementry, Goliad Middle School, Runnels Junior High, Big Spring High School, Texas State Technical Inst-Sweetwater(Electronics), Odessa College(Law Enforcement), Howard College (Crimal Justice), Texas State Technical College-Waco(Telecommunications Enginering).
College
Texas State Technical Inst - Sweetwater - Electronics - I attenended about a year, ran out of money and didn't feel like I learned much
Odessa College - Law Enforcement - I attened a Peace Officer Training Class and passsed the Texas Peace Officers exam.
Howard College - Big Spring - Criminal Justice - I took a few classes in CJ learning more about Law Enforecment
Texas State Technical College - Waco - Telecommunications Enginering - I expanded my knowledge from Electronics and combined with millatary experiance in Electorics Field I got AAS in Telecom Eng.
Workplace

I did work as a field service tech for Nextel Cell phones taking care of the electronics in the little building at the bottom of the towers. Curently I work at Sprint-Nextel as an electronics tech for Nextel in the 800Mhz rebanding project for the Public Saftey Sector Radio Band relocation project. I am working in Abilene Texas at a large warehouse.
Other jobs in the past include:
paper route, McDonalds, Burger King, Whataburger, Furrs Cafeteria, Winchells doughnuts, JoBoys resturant, Big Spring Herald, taxi Driver, wrecker operator, transport driver, shuttlebus driver, mail contract driver, Private security (stationary and city wide patrol), Dominos, Lawn work, Dispatcher (radio/telephone operator) Liquor Store cleck, 7-11 clerk, Furniture delivery, cotton gin, and probably more.
Those are just the actual jobs I can remember.
Military
6 years in the Coast Guard. Electronics Tech. I spent 2 years in San Francisco area on a ship that when to Alaska and Japan and many other Pacific Islands and countrys. I also spent nearly 4 years in New Orleans at a land based Comm Center, There we had radio communication with Ships and Rescue aircraft in the Gulf of Mexico. I also spent time in Long Beach California and went on a ship to the Persian gulf and set off the coast of Kuwait watching for Iraq smugglers. From there we when to several countrys and Island including Australa.
All in all I gues it was a good experince, but I wouldn't want to put up with Military Logic for a whole career.
