Life From Waverly HighSchool to PaintedPost HS in '59, grad in'60 & on to Alfred University school of Design. Brief visit to Corning Comm Coll in '62, then back to AU & degree in Economics & BusAdmin in '64. To US Navy officer scol in Newport, RI (Sept-Jan'65) & commision as Ensign(same as 2nd Lt in Army.etc.). Then to Carribean as oceanographic & communications officer til late ''66 transf to Cape Hatteras, NC, where switched from diving fun to fun surfing. Temp assign aboard frigate, USS Garcia via Newport(& Folk Fest) with WarGame AntiSub Staff sailing near Burmuda & detecting Soviet sub. Promoted to Ltjg (same as Army/Marine 1st Lt rank). Left active duty for diving/surfing in Fla, & travel in Europe in'68. Back to Corning/ Painted Post area for New Year's '69, then cross country (via southern winter route in winter) to live in san francisco. After insurance job, explored mixed media, graphics & photography, then film production. Returned to active Naval Reserve(active reservist, not active duty, except once a year), and promoted to full LT(ie-AirForc/Marine Capt equiv).
