Roma's Story
Life
My life changed signfigantly when I moved to Houston, Texas shortly after I graduated from Sahuaro. I went through the usual routine of working and going out at night and dating on weekends. After dating the wrong guys for a few years, I finally found Mr. Right and after dating each other for 1 year, we married. He was a deputy for the sheriff's dept. in Harris County, in Houston, Texas when we met and we knew that was not the place to raise a family with his type of job.
We moved to Oklahoma near his folks and we both went to Carl Albert Junior College and obtained our Associate Degrees. He continued in Law Enforcement and we began our family. We have one daughter. We later moved to Arkansas. He climbed the ladder of success in his job and became Police Chief over a period of 17 years and I worked in the field of Insurance. I started out doing clerical work and advanced to sales. I obtained my license and worked my way up to insurance adjuster. I worked as a workers compensation adjuster for several years and when we moved to Mena, Arkansas where we now live, I took a few years off. I then went b...Expand for more
ack to the capacity of sales and then purchased my own insurance business for several years. In the past four years my husband retired as Police Chief and we opened our own Private Investigation Business. We are quite busy and travel in several states with the Investigation Business and decided to let the insurance business go because the other business is so much more profitable. Our daughter works with us and attends college at Carl Albert State College in Oklahoma as well. We enjoy spending time with family, attending church and going on cruises in our off time. We also love spending time with our friends. We miss Tucson and our friends and family there. We have learned that while life passes quickly it is so important to treasure the tiny moments you have with your loved ones, treat each other with kindness and understanding and always have forgiveness in your heart. You never know when or how your life will change and some moments you can never get back....make the most of every moment of your life....and above all remember a little love can go a long way. God Bless You ALL!
